For any real estate transaction, I cannot overstate the importance of the agreement that you put in place. This agreement makes sure that all parties know exactly what the terms and conditions are and will protect you against any legal eventuality that may arise. Here’s what it needs to cover: 1. A full description of the property being bought 2. The details of the buyer, seller and brokerage companies involved 3. The purchase price - how it will be paid and the deposit amount 4. The timeframe - when the transfer of the title deed will happen The agreement also puts in place the consequences if any party doesn’t hold up their end of the agreement.
