Family Insults
Insulting someone in the UAE, even a family member can have serious legal consequences. A woman in Al Ain was ordered by the court to pay AED 10,000 in damages to her own sister for using insulting language. This came after she had already faced criminal charges for the same behavior. The court ruled that the insults caused harm to her sister’s dignity, and that under UAE law, family ties do not excuse verbal abuse. Respect and reputation are taken seriously, and civil compensation can be ordered alongside criminal penalties. #ArashZad #lawyer #legal #Law #UAEjustice #Dubai

Employee Joined Competitor
You train someone, they finish probation, then leave and join your competitor. Can you take action? Only if there's a solid non-compete in their contract and even that has limits. It has to be reasonable, time-bound, and only applies if they had access to sensitive info. Training costs? You can’t claim them unless it’s clearly written in the contract. It’s a tough spot, and it happens a lot. #ArashZad #LearnOnTikTok #lawyer #legal #Law #employmentlaw #dubai

Fraudulent Investment
When you put money into what seems like a good investment, only to discover it’s a scam, you might wonder what kind of legal action to take. Fraud is treated as a criminal offense, meaning the person who deceived you could face jail time and fines. At the same time, you have the option to file a civil case to try and recover your lost funds. So, while fraud is definitely a crime, pursuing a civil case can help you get compensation. #ArashZad #Dubai #lawyer #legal #Law #fraudlaw

Dash Cam Limits
Thinking of using a dash cam in Dubai? It’s legal to record inside your own car and even on the road as long as it’s for personal use, like reporting to police or insurance. But once you share that footage publicly especially if it shows faces, license plates, or private conversations you could be violating UAE privacy laws. Even posting in private WhatsApp groups can get you in legal trouble. The key rule: your dash cam is for safety, not social media. Be careful how you use it. #ArashZad #lawyer #Law #DashCam #Dubai #Legal
